About Our Summer Camp

Our Summer Camp at The Learning Experience is more than just childcare – it's a place where kids make memories, discover new passions, and build important life skills. We create an engaging and enriching environment where campers have fun while learning and growing.

The Role

As a Summer Camp Teacher, you'll be the heart and soul of our camp, creating a magical summer for our kids. You will:

Lead Fun & Engaging Activities: Design and implement exciting lesson plans that blend learning, creativity, and physical activity. Plan a mix of indoor and outdoor experiences.
Create a Positive & Inclusive Camp Atmosphere: Build a community where all campers feel welcome, safe, and valued. Promote positive interactions, teamwork, and respect.
Be a Role Model: Demonstrate enthusiasm, kindness, and a love for learning that inspires campers of all ages.
Supervise and Ensure Safety: Actively monitor campers to maintain a safe and secure environment, responding to any needs or concerns.
Collaborate with Fellow Teachers: Team up with other Summer Camp Teachers to share ideas, plan large-scale activities, and ensure smooth transitions.

Qualifications

Experience with School-Aged Children: Experience in childcare, teaching, after-school programs, or other camp settings with children.
Educational Background:
- Pursuing a degree in Education or a related field strongly preferred.
- High school diploma/GED required.
Certifications: CPR and First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Energy, Creativity, & Adaptability: Bring enthusiasm, a playful spirit, and the ability to think on your feet to create memorable camp experiences.
Strong Organizational Skills: Manage activity schedules, materials, and transitions with efficiency.

Compensation: $12.00 - $16.00 per hour

The Learning Experience

Our curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development and engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development. This forms a foundation for kids to Learn, Play and Grow under the care of our nurturing teachers and staff.

Each character has a unique personality and area of interest and brings learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.
