- Create lesson plans based upon the DOE Units of Study.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and model positive behaviors.
- Co-teach and provide constructive feedback.
- Lead classroom instruction daily, circle time and organize small group activities.
- Collect data through formal and informal assessments in order to effectively prepare lesson plans.
- Communicate regularly with parents concerning student progress and growth.
- Facilitate and participate in conversations with children.
- Obtain and record observations on a daily basis.
- Complete several on-line professional development training.
- Create and self monitor an Aspire account.
- Attend mandatory staff meetings.
- Bachelors degree or higher in Early Childhood Education.
- NYS Certification Birth-2 Preferred
- 2-3 years of professional teaching experience required.
- Must undergo comprehensive background check.
- Willing to be DOE fingerprinted immediately, if not already.
- Able to obtain full medical clearance.
- Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices.
- CPR and First Aide certification preferred.
- Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.
- Experience in an integrated setting
- Familiar with IEPs, goals, and progress reports
