We have an opening for a full or part time School Bus Driver with a valid CDL license to drive a 29 passenger school bus. The successful candidate will have experience driving Kindergarten to school aged children to and from school as well as working with children. Our Bus Driver is an essential part of our educational program and may be required to work as an assistant teacher in the classroom.

Responsibilities will include:

Transport children to and from school in morning and afternoon
Occasional school year field trips
Full time summer field trip transport
Maintain a clean and mechanically-sound bus at all times
Maintain all inspections according to state and corporate guidelines
Assure that all school bus requirements are adhered to including fire & emergency drills
Obey all traffic laws
Perform inspections of the bus before and after each route
Ensure safety of all students
Reinforce safety rules and behavior expectations with children through positive guidance
Assist students with getting on and off the bus when required
Attend staff meeting (4-6 times a year)
Classroom experience is preferred

School Bus Driver Requirements:

· High School Diploma/GED

· CDL required

· Passenger and school bus endorsement required

· Clean driving record

· Previous bus driving experience preferred

· Experience working with children preferred

· Excellent communication skills

Compensation: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
