TLE Astoria is looking for a dedicated and nurturing lead teacher for the infant classroom.

An Infant Teacher will provide a nurturing and safe environment for infants to develop and reach age-appropriate milestones. You will demonstrate good judgment in the care and play with each infant assigned to you. You will verbally engage the infants throughout the day in addition to incorporating play activities. You will maintain the feeding schedule with the bottles and solids provided by the parents.

Our infant classroom is full of love, giggles, and smiles. The infant age is where we get to nurture and create solid building blocks for their time growing up. Our infant teachers get to have fun, get messy, and be a vital part in our children's development. As a infant teacher we look for someone energetic, kind, compassionate, and loving!


Role Responsibilities: 

  • Overall classroom management: leading/creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment where children can play and learn.
  • Serve as a role model to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
  • Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
  • Build relationships with families and coworkers to create an inviting environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.

Minimum Qualifications Needed: 

  • An associates degree in early childhood education
    • OR
  • A CDA and currently enrolled in an early childhood education Associates program
    • OR
  • High School Diploma with 5 years of experience in a licensed child care program
  • Must meet state specific guidelines for the role
  • Must be vaccinated against Covid-19

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.50 per hour
