Job Description (8:00-5:00 pm Shift):

As a Full-Time Floater Teacher in our daycare setting, you will play a dynamic role in supporting the diverse needs of children across various age groups, ranging from infants to preschoolers. Your flexibility and adaptability will be essential as you provide support to lead teachers and seamlessly transition between classrooms. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and well-being of children at different stages of early childhood.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Classroom Support:

- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

- Provide additional support during transition times, ensuring a smooth flow of activities and maintaining a positive learning environment.

2. Flexible Deployment:

- Adapt to changing classroom assignments and age groups as needed, offering your assistance wherever it is most beneficial.

- Collaborate with lead teachers to understand the specific needs of each classroom and age group.

3. Individualized Care:

- Build positive relationships with children across different age groups, offering nurturing care and support.

- Assist with daily routines, including feeding, diapering, and nap times, as appropriate for each age group.

4. Communication and Collaboration:

- Maintain open communication with lead teachers, sharing insights and observations about individual children.

- Collaborate with the teaching team to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

5. Enrichment Activities:

- Engage children in developmentally-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive growth.

- Support the implementation of special projects or themed activities in collaboration with lead teachers.

6. Health and Safety:

- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring a secure environment for all children.

- Monitor and address any health-related issues promptly, communicating effectively with parents and lead teachers.

7. Professional Development:

- Actively participate in training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in working with children of varying ages.

- Stay informed about best practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent

- Previous experience working in a daycare or childcare setting.

- Ability to work with children ranging from infants to preschoolers.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Flexibility, adaptability, and a positive attitude.

- CPR and first aid certification.

- FBI Fingerprinting
Compensation: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
