We are seeking a dedicated and responsible individual to join our team as a Custodian for our Child Care Center. The Custodian will play a crucial role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for the children, staff, and parents. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and committed to ensuring the overall cleanliness and hygiene of our facility.
Responsibilities:
- Cleaning and Sanitizing: Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to maintain a safe and healthy environment for children.
- Trash Removal: Collect and dispose of waste from classrooms, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
- Restroom Maintenance: Ensure that all restrooms are clean, well-stocked, and sanitized throughout the day.
- Support Events: Assist with setting up and cleaning up after special events or activities within the child care center.
- Report Maintenance Issues: Identify and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly to the appropriate supervisor.
- Supply Management: Monitor and restock cleaning supplies as needed to ensure a sufficient inventory.
- Outdoor Area Maintenance: Keep outdoor play areas clean and safe, including removing debris and ensuring the equipment is in good condition.
- Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with child care center staff to address specific cleaning needs and maintain open communication.
- Emergency Response: Be familiar with emergency procedures and respond appropriately in the event of spills, accidents, or other emergencies.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in custodial or housekeeping roles preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and hygiene.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Must have reliable transportation
Schedule: This is a full-time position with hours ranging from 10 AM to 8 PM, 40 hours per week.

Compensation: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
