- Be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for our little learners.
- Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P curriculum using our fun and engaging characters, making TLE a place where learning is fun!
- Build relationships with families and colleagues, creating a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.
- Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children's latest adventures and achievements through various avenues, including Show N Tell and, if needed, through personal discussions.
- Maintain a caring, calm and loving relationship with our little learners.
- Create lesson plans and deliver outstanding teaching to our little learners.
- Ensure classroom lessons adhere to TLE guidelines and standards.
- Help to build the self-esteem of children and provide a safe environment.
- Collaborate with other Lead Teachers or school staff members when required.
- Provide input for the assessment of a child’s development.
- Record and keep any incident reports and report any abuse to supervisors.
- Attend all staff meetings as required.
- Keep appropriate daily logs such as attendance using our Show N Tell app.
- Participate in any promotional events at the center.
- Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are in full compliance with local and state licensing regulations.
- Responsible for accident/incident reporting in cooperation with the Center Director.
- Medication management, if required.
- Conducts monthly emergency safety drills in cooperation with the Center Director.
- California child development permit, or appropriate ECE units, and/or all other California requirements for teaching in a childcare center. A California multiple subject teaching credential may also qualify.
- CPR and First Aid Certification are highly preferred.
- Background Check
- Annual TB Test and Physical, plus immunizations as required by California law (measles, pertussis and influenza. Influenza can be declined with a letter stating you decline this immunization).
Job Type: Full-time
Starting Hourly Rate: $19.00 - $22.00 depending on experience, plus bonuses, with yearly review-based increases.
