The Learning Experience Summercreek is seeking a passionate and creative Summer Arts Teacher to lead engaging art activities for preschool learners as part of our summer program. This role offers a unique opportunity to inspire young artists, explore various art forms, and culminate the month with a special Art Gallery Show & Auction to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
- Plan and facilitate fun, age-appropriate art activities for preschool learners (ages 1-5) in a creative and structured environment.
- Introduce children to different art mediums (painting, sculpting, mixed media, etc.) and encourage artistic expression.
- Manage materials and maintain a clean, organized art space.
- Foster a positive and engaging atmosphere where children feel encouraged to explore their creativity.
- Prepare and showcase children's artwork for an end-of-month Art Gallery Show & Auction to raise funds for Make-A-Wish.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure a smooth and enriching summer arts experience.
- Experience working with young children in an educational, camp, or arts program setting.
- Background in art education, fine arts, or early childhood education preferred.
- Strong ability to engage and inspire young learners through hands-on creativity.
- Passion for fostering self-expression and confidence in children through the arts.
- Organized, dependable, and able to work independently.
