Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
  • Plan weekly menus that cater to the dietary needs and preferences of children.
  • Collaborate with staff to accommodate special dietary restrictions and allergies.
  • Monitor inventory and order supplies to ensure the kitchen is well-stocked.
  • Engage with children during mealtimes to promote healthy eating habits.
  • Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff as needed.
  • Participate in special events and activities to enhance the culinary experience.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience as a cook or in a similar role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to create balanced menus that meet nutritional standards.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Food Handler's Certification or willingness to obtain one.
  • Passion for working with children and promoting healthy lifestyles.
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate kitchen needs.

Compensation: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
