Center Directors at The Learning Experience oversee the day-to-day operations of the center while demonstrating joy and passion for early childhood education. Responsibilities:
PEOPLE LEADERSHIP
• Identifies, schedules and interviews teacher candidates; Builds networks of external future talent
• Conducts classroom observations, evaluations, and provides feedback that motivates and encourages learning and program quality
• Manages team to ensure TLE curriculum is executed in alignment with brand standards
• Uses a growth mindset to train, coach and develop for the future
• Listens objectively to employee concerns and plans a recommended course of action
• Manages new hire paperwork and all employee files in compliance with state licensing regulations
• Builds and communicates center schedules to ensure appropriate ratios are always intact and labor is effectively managed to budget
• Maintains employee engagement practices that that creates a culture of professionalism and support
CUSTOMER FOCUS
• Leads tours with prospective families, highlighting key features and points of difference of our curriculum, teacher tenure/quality, etc.
• Regularly communicates with families regarding student progress
• Executes “parent pleasers”
• Ensures proper utilization of our Bubbles & Friends app
• Regularly audits and maintains all records and files for students and teachers
• Ensures the physical environment and health/safety standards are full compliance with local and state licensing regulations
• Manages relationships with state licensors and conducts center evaluations
• Responsible for accident/incident reporting
• Medication management
• Conducts monthly emergency safety drills
• Manages new customer administration and files in compliance with state licensing regulations
Requirements:
· MUST HAVE ACTIVE FLORIDA CHILD CARE DIRECTOR CREDENTIAL
· CDA minimum is required but a Bachelor's Degree (in ECE/a child related field, business, or marketing is preferred)
· The Center Director must comply with minimum standards, as set forth by current company policies and government regulations.
· Must have professional teaching experience in a school, childcare facility, or early childhood education program
· At least 2 years in a supervisory position in childcare management or business administration
· Demonstrate excellent organizational and leadership skills
· Understand general business procedures
· Be enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable
· Strong customer service and communication skills
· Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and be comfortable with various technology platforms
· Work well under pressure
· Possess skills, attributes and characteristics conducive to and suitable for dealing with children, parents, staff, peers, vendors and management
· Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
· Satisfy the mandatory physical and background checks as required by the State and company regulations and procedures
· First Aid & CPR certification (Infant/Child & Adult)
