About the Role:
Join The Learning Experience #204 in Waldorf, MD as an Assistant Childcare Teacher, where you will help create a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to support the growth and development of children while working alongside a passionate team dedicated to early childhood education.
Responsibilities:
- Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities.
- Engage with children in play and learning activities to promote development.
- Support classroom management and maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's progress and needs.
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities to ensure safety.
- Help prepare materials and resources for various educational activities.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; early childhood education coursework preferred.
- Experience working with children in a childcare or educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Passion for nurturing and educating young children.
- Background check clearance required.
- Flexible schedule to accommodate the needs of the center.
