- Provide overall leadership and management of daily center operations (infants through pre-K, or other age spans we serve).
- Ensure compliance with Indiana licensing / regulations and health & safety requirements.
- Hire, train, mentor, and supervise staff; conduct performance evaluations.
- Oversee curriculum implementation to ensure developmental appropriateness and alignment with the center’s philosophy.
- Maintain high standards of classroom environment, staff ratios, cleanliness, organization.
- Enrollment management, marketing, community outreach, parent tours.
- Maintain accurate records — staff credentials, child files, licensing, incident reports.
- Ensure strong communication with families; respond to feedback, resolve issues.
- Staff scheduling, maintaining appropriate ratios, adjusting as needed.
- Participate in leadership meetings, professional development, continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of childcare or teaching experience preferred
- Demonstrated experience in childcare or early childhood leadership; prior experience as Director or Assistant Director preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong organizational, financial, problem-solving skills.
- CPR / First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Background and licensing checks as required by state.
- Flexibility in hours to support center needs (occasional evenings, events).
- Salary range: $48,000-$52,000/year (commensurate with experience and qualifications)

- Must be able to navigate the physical demands of supervising groups of young children.
