Toddler Teacher – The Learning Experience Hudson Yards
Pay: $22–$27 per hour (based on education and experience)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – Hudson Yards is seeking a nurturing, creative, and dedicated Toddler Teacher to join our passionate early childhood education team. Our toddler classrooms provide a joyful and engaging environment that encourages exploration, independence, and discovery.

If you have an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, CDA, or 5+ years of childcare experience, we’d love to meet you!

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum & Lesson Implementation

  • Implement an age-appropriate curriculum that supports developmental milestones.
  • Incorporate sensory play, music, language development, and hands-on learning.
  • Adapt activities based on individual child needs and interests.

Developmental Support

  • Encourage growth in language, motor skills, emotional regulation, and independence.
  • Guide appropriate social interactions and model positive behavior.
  • Support self-help skills including feeding, dressing, and toileting.

Communication & Classroom Management

  • Build strong, trusting relationships with children and families.
  • Provide daily updates to parents regarding meals, naps, and activities.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment that promotes exploration and learning.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in Early Childhood Education (ECE), or CDA credential, or 5 years of professional experience with a high school diploma.
  • At least 6 months of classroom teaching experience (1+ year preferred).
  • Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Must meet all New York State childcare licensing requirements.
