Location: The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle, New York, NY
Pay: $18–$20 per hour (based on experience and credentials)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About The Learning Experience

The Learning Experience – Columbus Circle is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our team of early childhood educators. Our classrooms provide a warm, engaging environment where children learn through play, discovery, and hands-on exploration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support lead teachers in implementing The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum and daily routines.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for all children.
  • Assist with daily activities, circle time, art, and play-based learning.
  • Help with meal times, diapering, and maintaining a clean classroom.
  • Communicate positively with children, families, and staff to support a strong school community.
  • Ensure compliance with all NYC childcare licensing and health standards.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience working with young children in a preschool, daycare, or childcare center preferred.
  • Coursework or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) a plus.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and passionate about early learning.
