Assistant Teacher – Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience – Ledgewood, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time , Monday–Friday
Pay: $16-$17 per hour

The Learning Experience – Ledgewood is seeking a caring and dependable Assistant Teacher to support our classrooms and help create a positive, engaging learning environment for young children. This role is ideal for someone with childcare experience who enjoys working as part of a collaborative teaching team.

Our center provides a structured, play-based environment where children build confidence, independence, and early learning skills through consistent routines and meaningful interactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Lead Teachers in implementing daily lessons and activities aligned with The Learning Experience L.E.A.P. Curriculum

  • Help maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment

  • Assist with daily routines including meals, diapering, rest time, and classroom transitions

  • Engage with children through play, positive guidance, and age-appropriate learning activities

  • Observe children and share relevant updates with the teaching team

  • Build positive relationships with families through professional communication

  • Follow all NJ DCF licensing requirements, health standards, and center policies

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Prior childcare experience required

  • Reliable, nurturing, and team-oriented

  • Ability to meet all New Jersey childcare licensing and background requirements
