Preschool Teacher

Location: The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe, NY
Pay: $20–$22 per hour, based on experience and credentials
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

The Learning Experience – Tuckahoe is hiring a dedicated Preschool Teacher to support children ages 3–4 as they develop early academic skills, confidence, and independence. This role is ideal for an educator who enjoys hands-on learning, classroom structure, and preparing children for kindergarten readiness.

Our preschool program focuses on early literacy, math foundations, social-emotional growth, and positive classroom routines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily preschool classroom activities in a structured, engaging environment

  • Implement developmentally appropriate lessons supporting early literacy, math, and problem-solving

  • Maintain consistent routines including learning centers, transitions, meals, and rest time

  • Foster positive behavior, peer interaction, and independence

  • Communicate regularly with families regarding progress and classroom experiences

  • Maintain classroom organization and safety

  • Follow NYC DOHMH licensing and center policies

Qualifications
Applicants must meet ONE of the following:

  • BA or AA in Early Childhood Education

  • CDA credential

  • Actively working toward an ECE degree or CDA

Additional Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 months preschool classroom experience (1 year preferred)

  • Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices

  • CPR and First Aid preferred

  • Must meet NYC DOHMH childcare licensing guidelines
