The Learning Experience of Astoria is seeking a reliable, nurturing, and highly professional Lead Infant Teacher who understands that caring for babies is both a privilege and a serious responsibility.

Education Requirements (Mandatory)

Candidates must meet one of the following:

  • Currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education (ECE) program
    OR

  • Completed an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field)

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in a licensed daycare setting with infants or young children

  • Prior experience leading or co-leading an infant classroom strongly preferred

Key Responsibilities

As the Lead Infant Teacher, you will:

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and fully compliant classroom environment at all times

  • Follow all state licensing regulations and company policies with integrity

  • Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum for infants

  • Track feeding schedules, diapering, naps, and developmental milestones

  • Communicate clearly and professionally with families

  • Model professionalism and positivity for assistant teachers

  • Create a warm, engaging space where babies can explore, grow, and thrive

This role requires someone who takes compliance seriously, respects policies and procedures, and understands that infant care demands attentiveness and accountability.
