Role: Early Childhood Lead Teacher Preschool Classroom
Location: The Learning Experience – Ramsey, NJ
Pay: $17 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday

About the Role

The Learning Experience – Ramsey is looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to guide a classroom of preschool-aged learners in a structured, engaging early education setting. This position focuses on supporting kindergarten readiness through hands-on activities, consistent routines, and positive classroom leadership.

Our preschool program helps children strengthen communication, independence, and early academic confidence while learning through purposeful play.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily classroom activities in a safe and supportive learning environment
  •  Deliver lessons aligned with the L.E.A.P. curriculum and developmental milestones
  •  Support children during centers, transitions, meals, and rest periods
  •  Encourage cooperation, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth
  •  Maintain classroom organization and licensing compliance standards
  •  Partner with families through regular communication and updates
  •  Collaborate with assistant teachers and leadership to maintain program quality

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  •  Experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom preferred
  •  Strong teamwork and classroom management skills
  •  Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices helpful
  •  Must meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements
