About the Role
We are seeking a reliable and caring Childcare Teacher – Part Time to support classrooms during afternoon and end-of-day routines. This role helps ensure a safe, organized, and nurturing environment for children while assisting teachers with daily activities, transitions, and classroom wrap-up procedures.
The ideal candidate enjoys working with young learners, is flexible, and thrives in a supportive team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist teachers with daily classroom activities and routines.
- Supervise children during indoor play, outdoor activities, and transitions.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
- Support teachers in preparing materials and setting up activities.
- Assist with closing procedures, including cleaning, organizing, and preparing classrooms for the next day.
- Provide coverage and support where needed to ensure smooth end-of-day operations.
- Collaborate with staff to maintain a positive and nurturing environment.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with young children or in a childcare setting preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
- Reliable, flexible, and able to assist in different classroom environments.
- Patient, supportive, and attentive when working with children.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in a childcare center, preschool, or daycare environment.
- Understanding of early childhood development and play-based learning.
- Ability to maintain structured routines and a calm environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
