About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and nurturing Lead Teacher – Toddlers to guide a classroom of young learners in our early childhood program. This role is responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environment that supports toddlers’ growth across all areas.

The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education, confident in classroom leadership, and skilled in building strong relationships with children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  •  Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and daily activities for toddlers. 
  •  Create a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
  •  Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  •  Manage daily routines, including meals, diapering, and nap schedules. 
  •  Observe and document developmental milestones and progress
  •  Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s development and classroom updates
  •  Supervise and guide assistant teachers or support staff
  •  Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health, and safety standards
Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required (ECE coursework or degree preferred). 
  •  Experience working with toddlers in a childcare or preschool setting required
  •  Previous experience in a lead teacher or classroom leadership role preferred
  •  Strong knowledge of child development and play-based learning
  •  Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills
Preferred Skills

  •  Experience developing and implementing toddler curriculum
  •  Strong classroom management and team leadership abilities
  •  Ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment
  •  CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
