What You’ll Do
- Lead a classroom (infant, toddler, or preschool)
- Deliver hands-on learning using L.E.A.P. Curriculum®
- Keep children safe, engaged, and on routine
- Communicate daily with parents (quick updates)
- Work as a team to support enrollment + retention
What You Need
- 18+ years old
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1+ year childcare / daycare / preschool experience
- Able to lift 40 lbs and stay active
New York Childcare Licensing (OCFS)
To qualify as a Lead Teacher in New York, you must meet 1 of the following areas:
- Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (or related)
- CDA credential + 1 year childcare experience
- 9 ECE credits + plan toward CDA/degree + 2 years experience
Also required to complete the following:
- Background check clearance
- NYS health + immunization requirements
- OCFS health & safety training
