The Learning Experience of Astoria is looking for a warm, organized, and professional Receptionist / Center Support team member to join our growing childcare center! This role is perfect for someone who loves working with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being part of a team dedicated to early childhood education.

As the first face families see when entering our center, the ideal candidate will create a welcoming environment while supporting daily administrative and classroom needs.

Responsibilities:

  •  Greet families, children, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner 
  •  Answer phones, emails, and parent inquiries promptly and professionally 
  •  Assist with scheduling tours and providing information to prospective families 
  •  Support enrollment paperwork and general administrative tasks 
  •  Maintain organized files and office systems 
  •  Assist management with day-to-day center operations 
  •  Help monitor sign-in/sign-out procedures and support center security protocols 
  •  Provide excellent customer service to current and prospective families 
  •  Support classrooms as needed throughout the day 
  •  Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment 
Qualifications:

  •  Previous receptionist and/or customer service experience required 
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  •  Organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment 
  •  Comfortable using computers, email, and basic office programs 
  •  Professional appearance and positive attitude 
  •  Experience working with children or in a childcare/school setting preferred 
  •  Must be reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
