About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead a preschool classroom by creating a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment where children are encouraged to explore, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who values collaboration, fosters positive relationships with children and families, and is committed to providing high-quality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate lesson plans and learning experiences.
- Create a safe, nurturing, and organized classroom environment that promotes exploration and independence.
- Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Foster school readiness through hands-on, play-based learning experiences.
- Observe, assess, and document children's developmental progress.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding classroom activities and children's growth.
- Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with assistant teachers and classroom support staff.
- Maintain classroom records and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and center events.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working in a preschool or early childhood education setting required.
- Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or in a classroom leadership role preferred.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, classroom management, and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience developing and implementing preschool curriculum.
- Strong classroom management and positive behavior guidance techniques.
- Ability to lead a classroom while fostering a collaborative team environment.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
