Lead Teacher – Toddlers / Interim Infant Lead Teacher

Job Type: Full-Time
- Lead and manage a toddler classroom by creating a safe, structured, and nurturing environment.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and learning experiences.
- Support children’s social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Establish consistent classroom routines that encourage learning, independence, and confidence.
- Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress and milestones.
- Communicate regularly with families regarding children’s growth, development, and classroom experiences.
- Provide interim classroom leadership and support within the infant program as needed.
- Support infant care routines, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and responsive caregiving.
- Supervise and collaborate with assistant teachers and classroom support staff.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and licensing requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience working with toddlers and/or infants in a childcare or early childhood education setting required.
- Previous experience as a Lead Teacher or classroom leader preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, responsive caregiving, and developmentally appropriate practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt and provide quality care in different classroom settings.
- Experience leading a toddler classroom.
- Experience supporting infant care and development.
- Strong classroom management and positive guidance techniques.
- Ability to mentor and collaborate with assistant teachers.
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
