Lead Toddler Teacher (Full-Time)
The Learning Experience

Position Summary
The Lead Toddler Teacher is responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where children ages 1–2 years can learn, grow, and thrive. As an ambassador of happiness, the Lead Teacher implements The Learning Experience's proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, partners with families, and mentors assistant teachers while fostering each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development. 

Responsibilities

  •  Create a warm, welcoming, and developmentally appropriate classroom environment. 
  •  Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum® through hands-on learning experiences. 
  •  Develop weekly lesson plans that support toddlers' developmental milestones. 
  •  Lead, coach, and mentor Assistant Teachers while promoting teamwork and professionalism. 
  •  Ensure the classroom meets all licensing, health, and safety regulations. 
  •  Complete daily health checks, diapering, toileting, feeding, and supervision while maintaining proper teacher-to-child ratios. 
  •  Observe and document children's developmental progress. 
  •  Maintain accurate daily reports, photos, and parent communication through the school's communication app. 
  •  Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and fellow team members. 
  •  Maintain a clean, organized, and engaging classroom environment. 
  •  Participate in staff meetings, training, and ongoing professional development. 
  •  Support center events, family engagement activities, and school-wide initiatives. 
  •  Model positive behavior and uphold The Learning Experience's mission and values every day. 
Qualifications

  •  High School Diploma or GED required. 
  •  Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred. 
  •  Minimum of 3 year of professional childcare or teaching experience required; lead teaching experience preferred. 
  •  Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices. 
  •  Strong classroom management and leadership skills. 
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  •  CPR and First Aid Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain). 
  •  Must meet all state licensing requirements for Lead Teachers.

Schedule

  • Full-Time
  •  Monday–Friday 8:00-5:00
  •  Approximately 40 hours per week 
Physical Requirements

  •  Lift and carry up to 40 pounds. 
  •  Frequently bend, kneel, squat, and sit on the floor. 
  •  Stand and move throughout the day. 
  •  Participate in indoor and outdoor activities in varying weather conditions.

Compensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
