About the Role:
The Learning Experience in McKinney, TX is looking for an energetic and passionate Afterschool Teacher/Bus Driver to join our team! This unique dual role gives you the opportunity to make a lasting impact on children both in the classroom and on the road. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and engage students in structured afterschool programs and activities
- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational and enrichment activities
- Safely transport children to and from school and program locations following all traffic laws and safety protocols
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom and bus environment
- Communicate effectively with parents, guardians, and staff regarding student progress and daily updates
- Monitor student behavior and enforce positive discipline strategies
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with safety regulations
Requirements:
Previous experience working with school-age children in an educational or childcare setting
- Clean driving record and ability to pass a background check
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic demeanor with a passion for child development
- Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment

Compensation: $15.50 per hour
