The Learning Experience is looking for a caring, patient, and experienced Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support young children with special needs in our early childhood education program.

We are seeking someone compassionate, dependable, and comfortable working with children who may need additional support with communication, behavior, transitions, social skills, sensory needs, and classroom participation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide one-on-one and small-group support to children with special needs
  • Help children participate successfully in classroom routines, learning activities, and transitions
  • Use positive behavior-support strategies
  • Support communication, social-emotional development, and independence
  • Work closely with teachers and center leadership
  • Assist with behavior plans and strategies when applicable
  • Maintain accurate observations and documentation
  • Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with staff and families
  • Follow all childcare licensing, health, safety, and confidentiality requirements
Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential preferred
  • Experience working with children with autism, developmental delays, behavioral needs, or other special needs
  • Experience in ABA, childcare, preschool, early intervention, or a similar setting preferred
  • Must be patient, nurturing, dependable, and professional
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to follow classroom and behavior-support plans
  • Must meet all Texas childcare background-check and employment requirements

We are especially interested in someone who understands that every child learns differently and who can provide calm, consistent, and compassionate support while helping children participate successfully in a structured preschool environment.

This position is ideal for an RBT who enjoys working with young children and wants to be part of a supportive, curriculum-based early childhood program.

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
Work Setting: Early Childhood Education Center / Preschool
Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
