Lead Preschool Teacher - 3-Year-Old Classroom

Location: The Learning Experience - Tuckahoe, NY
Pay: $20-$23 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Tuckahoe is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Lead Preschool Teacher to lead our 3-year-old classroom.

This is an exciting age as children become increasingly independent, conversational, curious, and eager to explore the world around them. We're looking for a teacher who can create a nurturing and engaging preschool classroom where children build early academic skills, friendships, confidence, and a genuine love of learning.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily routines and learning experiences in our 3-year-old Preschool classroom
Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
Create engaging activities supporting early literacy, math, science, creativity, and social-emotional development
Encourage language development, independence, problem-solving, and positive peer relationships
Provide consistent classroom routines and positive behavior guidance
Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
Prepare classroom activities and learning materials
Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and engaging classroom
Follow applicable New York childcare health, safety, and licensing requirements

Qualifications

Candidates must meet one of the following education and experience pathways:

Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education
Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education
CDA credential
High school diploma or GED plus at least 5 years of relevant early childhood experience

Previous professional preschool, daycare, or early childhood classroom experience strongly preferred. Experience leading a classroom of 3-year-old children is a plus.
