Infant Teacher - Early Childhood Education
Location: The Learning Experience - Byron Center, MI
Pay: $17-$19 per hour, based on experience
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Byron Center is seeking a nurturing and dependable Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team.
This is a wonderful opportunity for an educator who loves working with babies and being part of their earliest milestones. You'll create a warm, responsive classroom where infants feel safe, secure, and loved while developing through meaningful interactions, sensory experiences, movement, and play.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nurturing, responsive care in an Infant classroom
- Support individualized feeding, diapering, sleep, and daily care routines
- Engage infants through sensory play, music, movement, language, tummy time, and age-appropriate activities
- Support cognitive, physical, language, and social-emotional development
- Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
- Provide attentive supervision and responsive care throughout the day
- Build trusting relationships and communicate regularly with families
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and center leadership
- Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and nurturing classroom
- Follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Previous professional daycare, childcare, or infant classroom experience preferred
- Experience caring for infants strongly preferred
- CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework is a plus
- Patient, nurturing, dependable, and team-oriented
- Comfortable with feeding, diapering, and other infant care routines
- Must meet applicable Michigan childcare licensing requirements
