Schedule: Part-Time, Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Gainesville is seeking an experienced Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to support our classrooms during the second half of the school day. You'll help maintain engaging classrooms, support daily routines, and give children a positive end to their day.

This is a great fit for an experienced childcare professional looking for dependable weekday afternoon hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classrooms and teachers throughout the afternoon
  • Engage children through play, art, music, movement, stories, and hands-on activities
  • Assist with afternoon snacks, transitions, and classroom routines
  • Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management
  • Help maintain required classroom ratios
  • Build positive relationships with children and families
  • Assist with classroom organization and end-of-day procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
  • Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements
Qualifications

  • Previous professional daycare, childcare, preschool, or early childhood experience required
  • Comfortable working with young children in a group classroom setting
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliable and available Monday-Friday from 2:00 PM-6:00 PM
  • Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for the position
