Part-Time Afternoon Teacher - Daycare & Preschool

The Learning Experience - Manassas City, VA
Pay: $16-$18 per hour, based on experience
Preferred Schedule: Monday-Friday, 12:30 PM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Manassas City is seeking an experienced Part-Time Afternoon Teacher to help keep our classrooms engaging, organized, and running smoothly throughout the second half of the day.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants consistent weekday afternoon hours in an early childhood education environment.

Key Responsibilities

Support classrooms and teachers throughout the afternoon
Engage children through art, stories, music, movement, play, and hands-on activities
Assist with meals, snacks, rest time, transitions, and afternoon routines
Use positive guidance and age-appropriate classroom management
Help maintain required classroom ratios
Build positive relationships with children and families
Support classroom organization and end-of-day procedures
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment
Follow Virginia licensing and center requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous professional childcare experience required
Experience in a daycare, preschool, or early childhood classroom strongly preferred
Comfortable working with different age groups as needed
Reliable and able to work the preferred Monday-Friday afternoon schedule
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Must meet Virginia licensing requirements for the position
