Grand Rapids, MI
Pay: $17-$20 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-6:00 PM

The Learning Experience - Beltline is looking for an experienced Infant Lead Teacher to create a calm, nurturing classroom where babies receive responsive care while discovering the world through movement, language, sensory experiences, and play.

As the Lead Teacher, you'll take ownership of the classroom experience while building close, trusting relationships with children and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the daily routines and learning experiences of the Infant classroom
  • Provide individualized, responsive care for each child
  • Support feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time, and developmental routines
  • Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
  • Introduce infants to sensory exploration, music, movement, language, and play
  • Observe and document developmental milestones
  • Guide and collaborate with Assistant Teachers
  • Communicate regularly and professionally with families
  • Maintain a clean, safe, nurturing, and organized classroom
  • Follow Michigan licensing and center requirements
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous professional childcare or early childhood classroom experience required
  • Infant classroom experience strongly preferred
  • CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, degree, or other qualifying credential preferred
  • Must meet Michigan requirements to serve as a Lead Caregiver
  • Nurturing, attentive, dependable, and collaborative
