Toddler Lead Teacher - Early Childhood Education

The Learning Experience - Pewaukee, WI
Pay: $18-$21 per hour, based on experience and qualifications
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday

The Learning Experience - Pewaukee is seeking an experienced Toddler Lead Teacher who loves the energy, curiosity, and rapid development of the toddler years.

You'll lead a nurturing classroom where children are building language, independence, friendships, and confidence while learning through hands-on experiences, movement, exploration, and play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily Toddler classroom activities and routines
  • Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
  • Engage children through sensory play, art, music, movement, stories, language, and hands-on learning
  • Encourage communication, independence, and positive social interactions
  • Support diapering, toileting, meals, rest time, and transitions
  • Use positive guidance and developmentally appropriate classroom management
  • Observe and document children's developmental progress
  • Guide and collaborate with classroom support teachers
  • Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
  • Maintain Wisconsin licensing, health, and safety standards
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous professional childcare, daycare, preschool, or early childhood experience required
  • Toddler classroom experience strongly preferred
  • CDA, Early Childhood Education coursework, or related credential preferred
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • Must meet applicable Wisconsin childcare licensing requirements
