About the Role
The Learning Experience is seeking a dependable, experienced, and flexible Morning Opener to help prepare our center for a successful day! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children of all ages, takes pride in creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment, and can confidently support multiple classrooms as needed.
The Morning Opener will assist with opening classrooms, welcoming children and families, and providing nurturing, engaging care for children ranging from 6 weeks to 5 years old.
Responsibilities
- Open and prepare classrooms each morning, ensuring they are clean, safe, organized, and ready for children.
- Provide hands-on support in classrooms serving infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Transition between classrooms and age groups based on staffing needs, enrollment, and classroom ratios.
- Greet children and families warmly and support a positive drop-off experience.
- Maintain active supervision and follow all safety, health, and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with morning routines, diapering, feeding, and age-appropriate activities as needed.
- Maintain compliance with state childcare licensing requirements and center policies.
- Communicate effectively with center leadership and teaching teams.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or early childhood education setting.
- Knowledge of the developmental needs of children from infancy through preschool.
- Ability to adapt quickly and work confidently with different age groups.
- Dependable, punctual, flexible, and able to work an early morning schedule.
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to meet state childcare employment, background check, and training requirements.
