Full Time • Richmond
Role:  Preschool Center Director

The Director effectively operates and manages all aspects of the program. The Director shall be accountable for operational and educational aspects of the child care center, ensuring quality care and education for children; achievement of financial targets, applying rigorous, proactive cost controls; incorporating active continuous improvement in quality of operations; delivering exemplary customer service; and ensuring legal compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Actively leads teaching staff to effectively accomplish center targets, objectives, and goals.
  • Models and implements the program's mission and values into all operations.
  • Ensures orientation and training of teachers, employees, and volunteers; and equips employees with job-critical knowledge and education on an ongoing basis.
  • Conducts financial ANALYSIS of payroll, nutrition and school supplies.
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with state licensing authorities, community contacts and owners.
  • Ensures effective communication with the owners and Board of Directors concerning program goals, policies, enrollment, operational and budgetary status.
  • Implements strategies to increase enrollment and recruitment as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state and local laws, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Conducts effective tours that result in enrollment of new families and ensures retention of existing families.
  • Manages program Software to ensure streamlining of student enrollment, processing of tuition payments, and employee payroll.
  • Ensures that developmentally appropriate curriculum practices are being implemented inside of the classrooms daily.
  • Responsible for hiring and evaluating team members, ensuring center is staffed appropriately and all employees are performing their duties responsibly and with a high degree of integrity.
  • Provides effective supervision of classrooms to ensures that health and safety, and professional development, and educational requirements are being met daily.
  • Ability to manage employees effectively and maintain a professional working relationship with each team member.
  • Ensures the general oversight of appearance, cleanliness and repair of the buildings.
  • Provides a high level of customer service to our parents, children, and the community at large.
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Type: Full-time / Term contracting consulting is an option

Salary: Commensurate with experience

Qualification Questions

  • Must have a Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or Higher
  • Must hold a TX Director's Certificate
