Job Summary:


The HR Generalist will support the Human Resources function across GSG Holdings and its affiliated entities. This role is crucial in supporting our mission by ensuring that our centers are aligned with our educational values and business goals. The HR Manager will handle Talent Acquisition and Recruitment, Employee Engagement and Development, and People Operations while fostering a positive work environment.


Position Objective:


The candidate’s mission is to join a fast-growing childcare services organization where the HR function has not yet been independently defined. A successful candidate will leverage their self-starting, leadership, and HR technical skills to establish the HR function as a strategic strength of the organization. 


Key Responsibilities:


1. Talent Acquisition and Recruitment

·       Manage talent acquisition pipeline: document positions, recruit, manage pipeline, hiring, and onboarding.
·       Uniform Management
·       Policy Enforcement

2. Employee Engagement and Development – Define and Implement: 

·       Learning and development programs
·       Employee retention and happiness initiatives
·       Standards for employee recognition and rewards
·       Annual performance management process
·       Employee surveys and continuous improvement 
 

3. People Operations – Manage: 

·       Regulatory Compliance
·       Health and Safety Compliance
·       Benefits Compliance
·       Record Keeping and Documentation
·       Policy Development and Review
·       Unemployment Insurance Management 
·       Equal Opportunity and Anti-Discrimination Compliance 
·       Annual Review of Policies and Procedures
·       Worker’s Compensation 
·       Payroll Setup and Administration 
·       Payroll Tax and Regulatory Compliance
·       SOC SC Classification
·       Payroll Reconciliation 

 


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; master's degree or HR certification preferred.
  • Relevant Experience: 5+ years of HR management experience, with a strong background in employee relations, recruitment, and compliance; experience in the early childhood education sector or an industry with similar dynamics is highly desirable.

Skills:

·       Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
·       Ability to define/establish/implement an HR function from scratch
·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
·       Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
·       Experience with data analysis.
·       Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
