Full job description
Must have a current criminal record qualifying unit from the Division of Child Development (lasts 5 years from the date of issuance), TB test and medical (on the DCD staff medical form) within the past year, and be willing to take CPR and first aid within 30 days of hire or possess the training already.

Teachers must focus on keeping the classroom on pace with the daily schedule while maintaining a positive and energetic atmosphere where happy happens here! Effective communication skills and strong organizational skills are essential qualities for this position .

To be considered for this position, you must meet all requirements listed below:

  • We require High School Diploma Must be 18+
  • Associates or bachelor's degree in ECE preferred but not required
  • compensation is based on experience and/or education and major
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices Strong written and communication skills CPR and First Aid or willing to obtain
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
  • Be Reliable and punctual
  • Clean background check is REQUIRED (included FBI) through the Division of Child Development (qualifying letter)
  • TB test and staff medical (within one year old)
  • Staff heath assessment within one year old on NCDCDEE document
  • Minimum of 2 work references
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation a must.

  • must be prepared to complete the training courses the NC requires in addition to our company training sessions- upon hire and annually

Duties:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities and lessons for children in areas such as physical education, math, and child welfare.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with parents and families.
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing individualized attention and support as needed.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a comprehensive curriculum.
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development and progress.
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary materials.
- Follow all daycare policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of all children.

Skills:

- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with young children.
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development.
- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities and materials.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, parents, and families.

Job Types: M-F , Full-time 9am to 6pm M-F
