- Implementing CLASS TECHNIQUES in all classrooms.
- Assist with enrichments in each classroom weekly – be sure the lesson plan is being followed, participate and take several photos on the TLE iPads.
- Classroom Observation (Including Playground).
- Assist staff in using the playground planner and ensure there are planned activities as well as free play and that staff are engaged with children. Monitor each class once weekly.
- Continually check throughout the day to see if teachers need a minute to write accident/incident reports (supervise children while they write them) – review reports and sign them.
- Partner with teachers to help them create learning centers, and classrooms that are engaging and show the monthly theme.
- Use TLE iPads to take photos of teachers in action (take photos on the Ipads daily of teacher interactions – goal one photo of each child daily).
- Assist staff with lesson planning, CORAdvantage when needed.
- Step in for teachers so they may complete bulletin boards as needed.
- Repair bulletin boards if needed, gather supplies to help teachers.
- Assist teachers with challenging behaviors. Should a teacher have ongoing challenging behaviors in the classroom, submit an action plan working towards a solution. Provide additional methods and effective strategies to help the student with challenging behaviors be successful in the classroom.
- You will be a positive role model for staff and children, having a positive impact on the center, showing Happy Happens Here.
- You will work with new staff members in the classroom for one week for two hours in the morning and the afternoon to ensure they are confident and able to be successful.
- Maintains positive communication with parents, staff, and children. Assists in recognizing parental concerns, evaluation of the course of action and responding professionally to parents’ needs.
- Ensure rooms are tour ready at closing daily and collect all attendance clipboards and cleaning sheets on Friday.
- Assist in ensuring all DSS and TLE policies and procedures are being followed while maintaining a safe and healthy environment for the children.
- Substitute in any classroom as needed.
- When relieving the assistant director, it is your responsibility to enter accident/ incident reports in the system and file then children’s folders.
- Daily log must be filled out and signed off by yourself and staff and turned in to director on Fridays.

- Have a genuine passion for the education and care of children?
- Have one year of professional teaching experience (preferred) or six months of professional teaching experience (required)?
