- Provide a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for toddlers.
- Supervise children at all times and maintain proper classroom ratios.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children’s physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Follow the center’s curriculum and daily classroom schedule.
- Assist children with daily routines, including meals, diapering, toileting, handwashing, and nap time.
- Change diapers and maintain proper hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to center policies and children’s needs.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child’s day, development, meals, naps, and other important information.
- Maintain accurate classroom records, including attendance, diapering, meals, naps, and incident reports.
- Keep the classroom, toys, equipment, and learning areas clean, organized, and sanitized.
- Support children as they learn appropriate social skills, sharing, communication, and independence.
- Observe and document children’s developmental progress.
- Follow all state licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and center policies.
- Work cooperatively with co-teachers and other staff members.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and professional development as required.
- Assist with classroom transitions and maintain a consistent daily routine.
- Report any safety concerns, injuries, behavioral concerns, or developmental concerns to management.
- Participate in special events, center activities, and family engagement activities.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, and staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Center Director or management.
